1. Introduction

Safari Beton ("Safari Beton", "we", "us" or "our") is a South African supplier of precast concrete products. This policy explains what information we collect through www.safaribeton.co.za (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. The Site does not require an account and does not process online payments. The one place information is collected is the "Get in Touch" quote form, which asks for:

Your name and surname
Your email address
Your cell number
The message or product details you type in

The form also includes a hidden field used only to catch automated spam submissions. It is not shown to visitors and is not personal information about you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the details you submit for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote. We do not use your information for marketing emails, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the enquiry you submitted.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) on the basis that it is necessary to take steps, at your request, before entering into a possible supply agreement with you, and because you have consented by submitting the form.

5. Cookies and Analytics

This Site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are viewed, and whether a visit results in a phone call, a "Request a Quote" click, or a completed enquiry form. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to do this. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising or retargeting trackers.

6. Third-Party Services

The Site uses the following third-party services, each operating under its own terms and privacy practices, independently of Safari Beton:

Google Analytics — measures Site usage as described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used across the Site. Requests for these fonts are made to Google's servers.
Google Maps — an embedded map showing our location. Interacting with the map is subject to Google's own privacy practices.

We do not control how these third parties handle data, and recommend reviewing Google's privacy policy if you have concerns.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Enquiry details are seen only by Safari Beton staff who need them to respond to your quote request.

8. Data Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request and any resulting order, and thereafter only as required to meet our legal or record-keeping obligations.

9. Your Rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to how it is processed. To exercise any of these rights, call us on 083 583 8388. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information submitted to us against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

11. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for business use by adults sourcing precast concrete products, and is not directed at children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.
